Evie was raised to think being beautiful is the only thing that matters and learns that she's actually smart and talented. they're both solid character arcs w good messages for the audience and engage with what made their respective parents evil.

Carlos's thing is that he was. raised to think dogs are bad and then learns that dogs are nice? problems here:

a. this isn't a Growth Arc like the others bcos its not like he was raised to think dogs suck bcos love & friendship are bad his mother straight up lied to him that they're dangerous and as soon as he met one he realised they're not. he doesn't have a personal flaw to work on, he was just ignorant.

like there's shades of a good arc here w idk his mother having raised him to think love&friendship are overrated and that the only thing that matters is what people can provide for you? he would be all like 'what's the point of having a dog they're nuisances who just eat and poop all day' and then he would learn about unconditional love. but no that's not what happens bcos his mother just lied to him about what dogs are.

& this stands out bcos the other character journeys are actually very solid!!

b. hating dogs. was never Cruella's thing? Cruella's thing is consumerism. she's into furs bcos it's a way of showing off how rich and powerful she is and slaughtering 99 puppies just to make the world's fanciest coat is the ultimate expression of her conspicuous consumption. its a custom baby seal leather boots situation.

so like Cruella's kid's issue should be having been raised to value material goods over people's feelings which is an arc that absolutely could be resolved by him befriending a dog but again the root cause of his issue with dogs is that they're 'rabid pack animals'

"guys?" he says, turning to look back at you.

he and his wife had planned to have a date night. a nice drink at a cocktail bar would do the two of them good. in which he refused at first. he offered a dinner and gentle walks with ice cream but it seems that his wife managed to make him agree with her instead . thanks to her gorgeous puppy dog eyes and seduction, he actually complied. under one condition, that she has to stay by his side the entire night.

I've said before how Mingi feels like a safe space for the members, because he rarely pushes boundaries (and when he does, it's with the clear intent of being annoying/childlike/funny, not threatening).

With him, affectionate gestures feel natural, genuine. Man was born on National Hand Holding Day and he's just living up to the name. He rarely if ever acts affectionate for the camera, for fanservice. Which is why, in the rare occasion that he does, the others get flustered. Because it's unexpected. They deal with a "baby chick", an affectionate kitten 99% of the time, and then suddently find themselves face to face with a panther.

But in general he's affectionate and sincere and respectful of everyone's boundaries. And in my opinion this is why the most skinship-averse members like Hongjoong, Yeosang and Jongho are ok being so physical with him. They know Mingi will never push them too far, will always let them call the shots ❤

Silas: did it once for a party but not proper drag, he just put on some lipstick and a skirt.

Kaze: no but not because he wouldn't enjoy it. i think he'd like it but is too reserved. like he's tried on a skirt once but immediately blushed & took it off. If you hyped him up enough you could maybe get an hour or two out of him. repeat exposure possibly more.

Ryoma: yes. it was for some kind of political or traditional thing and he took it very seriously, similar to xander. imagine him dressed as a geisha doing a ceremony.... that sort of vibe. Not really drag in that sense but also is yknow?

Takumi: absolutely not.

Saizo: he has as a disguise for missions but he doesn't particularly enjoy it.... is what he'll tell you. I think he secretly loves it. i think he is busting out the winged tips and the breastplate. he is volunteering in kagero's place. i think i have his number girl like im onto him.

Azama: He's definitely done drag but it was disrespectful and gross and we all would rather not think about it.

Hinata: straight hinata thats what they call him straaaaight hinata

Subaki: if he were a queen he'd be one of those 'fish' queens who takes 'female impersonation' very seriously judging other queens for failing to live up to his beauty standards but deep down hes actually just judging himself. But I don't think hes a queen. I think he's just one of those guys who wears makeup and has a skincare routine.

Hayato: I genuinely dont remember his character and also hes like five i think 🤷‍♀️

Kaden: I'm feeling theatrical drag for him. maybe some traditional performance in the fox village. in that sort of context I think he'd have fun with it.

Izana: her 'name' is her drag name and shes in drag the whole game already. 99% certain of this. not 'has' done drag. Izana IS drag.

Fuga: hes like those hunky firefighters they do the drag makeovers on in drag race. otherwise no absolutely not

Yukimura: Hasn't done it but gives me the vibe he would be open to considering.

Shiro: genuinely his design gives me nothing and I don't remember his personality.... shiroheads youre gonna have to help me here.

Kiragi: yes! however he is baby so its more just like dress ups. very innocent.

Hisame: human equivalent of a sesame seed.

Asugi: I do have a list written up for awakening and in it I say gaius would be an awesome queen. However despite looking like gaius, asugi is not gaius. asugi is a random teenager who hates his dad. i dont think hes done drag nor wants to. if he had to put on a wig for a mission or something i think he'd put the misson in danger before taking it seriously. maybe give him a decade to mature and he'll be into it but otherwise the answer is no.
